Hey guys, How have you all been? Hope you all are doing well!
Today's Blog is about My Desi Twist Avatar, being born and brought up abroad, my heart always felt for My India. The attire and the Indian Desi dresses always used to fascinate me and still do. The Indian jewels, Bindi , Bangles .. Ohhh! I can go on and on with my fascination for the Indian Ethnic Accessories..I love them all, which I hardly got to wear in Kuwait, but made most of it during my visits to India :D
Most of the People in India today don't follow a specific Culture or Values - which are tied with their Religion, they behave or dress based on their believes and likings, irrespective of their cultural background. Everyone today, wants to play around with their look, all they want is to look different and Modern!
And definitely, the one look which is trending in India and everywhere is the "Desi Twist - Indian Fusion with Modernity", which is also known as Indo western look. There are many ways to get the right Desi twist which suits one best, and I am going to talk and show you one of my favourite twist in this blog.
Women's/Girl's who like their traditional look with a twist, this blog will amaze you ("Hopefully" - Fingers Crossed) What's important is to combine the contemporary and traditional look in such a way that it enhances your Personality and Style.
There are still some women in India, who are just stuck with the Indian traditional attire like sarees, kurtis etc, because of pressures from external forces to conform to their "Family Values/Culture", but with the Desi Twist Look, anyone can easily look sleek, modern and yet fashionable with some simple experimentations.
Lehenga Skirt with Shirt is the look which is trending nowadays, that all our Desi and even Non Desi women love to carry themselves wearing it in any occasion, This look gives her the grace and the class she needs. A Best option for all the Ladies to look different with a mix & twist of Indian Modernity.
Talking about the ethnic Lehenga Skirt, this style is part of our old Indian tradition, Women back then of all ages use to style in Lehenga Skirt pairing with Choli, Kurtis and even Shirt. Trends come and go years after years while some trends stays forever, in many parts of South India the women still follow this trend since decades.
The Lehenga Skirt style has come back as a fashion trend across India and is booming. Different Material/Fabric,Design and Print skirts are available in markets across india.
My look - I have matched a Pink ethnic Lehenga which has black borders with golden work design and piping on the skirt with a black plain shirt, Black is my favourite color and you can never go wrong with black and the best part is it makes you look thin (Haha). Its a basic shirt, which will be easily available in everyone's wardrobe.

Talking about my shoes - They are leather feel block heels, and one of my favourites , The Black babe that's what I call them.. Haha!. This beautiful pair is going well with my entire look giving a perfect Western Twist . Just to add on they are the most comfy pair of shoes on earth (PHEW!!).

What I really love about the Desi Twist is the experimentation with the Jewelry and they play a very very important role in enhancing your entire look. Never over do with Jewelry, remember if it can make you look stunning, over dose can make you look Cheap/Clumsy as well.
So yeah, I have matched Golden bangles on one hand and my MK watch on the other hand, an authentic nose ring along with traditional Pink & Black round Bindi's (Matching my Attire),a "Simple yet Classy"- that's the point!

Last but not the least my makeup & Hair :
Makeup - I have used black shadow (smokey eyes) from Balm's (Meet Matt Nude Eye Shadow) with little blush on my cheeks from No.7 (Peach Color) and a nude lipstick from Bourjois (Velvet collection (10)) to balance my look.
Hair - Messy Look (Easy to do ,Make two plates with your entire hair or even three depending upon the thickness of your hair.. keep it over night, open you Hair the next morning then comb them slowly with your hand ,that's it you are good to go!

There is lot to experiment when it comes to Desi twist, will soon come up with different styling in my future blogs. Sharing this look with you guys because it's my personal favourite. Hope you enjoy reading it :D
