Feeling Blue!!

Hey guys, Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead! We all work so much and wait for that weekend to make most out of it. It's worth that wait!

Well today's blog is all about feeling Blue, aha not the literal meaning of the idiom. It's in fact Opposite!

We all have our own favourite colors for this summer or otherwise, but doesn't matter which color is trending, Shades of Blue can never be out of fashion, and look good in all gradients and styles. You can never go wrong with BLUE, it just tops the chart ALL the time!

Color Blue, makes me dreamy (Haha). It takes me to deep Blue sea, under the Blue sky, wearing a Blue dress, holding a Blue umbrella and chilling (I am such a dreamer, Haha).

Blue is such a calming and cool color which symbolizes loyalty, strength and wisdom. Any shade of Blue in your site calms your senses, believe me or not -- you got to try it and feel it! (Ooooh!)

Do you know... Color Blue has different meaning in different cultures, let's take a look:

*Dark blue is the color of mourning in Korea

*Our beloved lord krishna has blue skin, so it is sacred

*Blue for baby girl and pink for baby boy in Belgium, to denote gender

*In Greek people believe blue wards off the Evil eyes

*"Prince Charming" is known by name "The Blue Prince" in Italy and Spain

*In English "to feel Blue" has no equivalent in other languages, hence I don't understand who and why used the word blue to depict sad or depressing emotions. I guess, I am getting too emotional about the color Blue (covering my face).

I would like to share my experience of going little tipsy after this simple yet classy looking BLUE dress,during my visit back home Kuwait.

I walked into a store and turned to my right and there I saw this simple yet classy beauty in blue (felt like love at first sight)... Haha.

It had that deep blue color, with rose design prints all over, took me to a fantasy world of my own (like I have mentioned above).

A must mention are those killer Bell sleeves, which took my heart away. The moment I saw this dress I wanted to make it mine, but thanks to my luck, when I reached the counter the salesman said it's already reserved.

I was numb for a second and I said no it's impossible it cant be, trust me it was such an embarrassing situation as everyone was staring at me. I looked like a 5 year old who had the candy in front of her which she wanted so bad but couldn't have it. (my face was turning down, wanted to cry so loud).

My family held me strong and said we will look for it else where, I knew it was a LIE LIE LIE.(I felt as if the world was ending! LOL).

The moment I stepped out of the shop, I heard someone shouting, "Ma'am wait! wait!", I turned around like a heroine, when her hero calls her name while she is leaving. (NO NO the salesman was not my hero...hmm in a way he was, he was the only hope I had to make that beauty mine)

Well with hope in my eyes I went towards him, he said, "Ma'am I have one piece inside but it's not your size, my heart which was broken already broke further into million pieces."

That moment I lost all hope from hope. (Hey Guys, but never lose HOPE in any situation..its keeps you going), I was just under an emotional trauma :P.

I was so into that DEEPP DEEPPP BLUEEE Dress (Oops, no melodrama) that I didn't want to leave without taking it home. Hence, I decided to try the over sized dress, took me like 15 min inside the trial room as I was convincing myself looking in the mirror... that the dress doesn't define me! ... but how I carry myself.

I had one to one silent moment with myself eye to eye, looking through the mirror and a while after I took the courage to go out and tell the world, this blue beauty is mine! It's mine!!!

And yes i finally bought it :D. Though it's was an over size dress and really simple, but i was in love (Yes, Love at first sight exists!)... As I believe beauty lies in simplicity and magic can happen anytime, which means everything should be made simple with a touch of elegance!

Being the fashionista, which I am ;) , I added the touch of elegance my way.. played around with my look to make it more trendy. Going into details below --- ;)

Matched this beautiful crystal neck piece which I bought from COAST brand (it's an UK based brand) from Kuwait. It's trendy and has enhanced my entire look.

Love for these oxford silver blings of mine, they are trending since 2010, the style is borrowed from Men's footwear style.They are so fashionable and can be worn with anything without a second thought.

Like I said I fell in love with those bell shaped sleeves with pleates on them, this style is trending like wild fire in fashion world, be it Dresses, Maxi's or Top's, everyone wants those bell sleeves to be part of their styling.

The side pleat details are an add on to the look of the dress.
